Major: Environmental and Natural Resources Conservation
Graduation Date: May 21, 2016
Not Counted Because: Transferred
During my first semester of college I worked with a sustainability club on a project to eradicate an invasive plant species. After talking with some of the people involved about career opportunities in an environmental field, I realized I was not following my heart with the major I was pursuing. I needed to do something that I was passionate about. The future of our natural resources is something that I am truly concerned about. I felt that transferring to The Ranger School was the best path to do so.
After graduating from The Ranger School I will be spending the summer in Wyoming working with the Wyoming Natural Diversity Database trapping small mammals to determine distribution, occupancy, and habitat use. In the fall I will be continuing my education at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse to pursue a bachelor’s degree in natural resources management.
