Graduation Date: May 13, 2016
Not Counted Because: Transferred
In 1989 I enrolled as a full-time student. I married while in college and began a family and reduced my enrollment to part-time. In 1996 we relocated to North Carolina. In 2001, enrolled at UNC Charlotte part-time. Due to family reasons I again had to make a decision to leave school. UNC Charlotte’s 49er Finisher Program continued to reach out and encourage completion. In 2014 I enrolled again to complete my degree. The 49er Finisher Program helped with the transition and logistics that made re-enrollment possible after so many years.
During the last several years, I discovered my passion for helping businesses thrive and helping individuals with personal budgeting and planning. After the completion of my accounting degree, I will pursue a master’s degree in accountancy and CPA licensure. At this time, it is my plan to continue on a path in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and tax planning and provide necessary services to small businesses to promote long-term growth and sustainability.
