Major: Communication
Graduation Date: May 12, 2016
Not Counted Because: Transferred; Started Part-Time

Twenty seven years ago I started my college journey, but due to many circumstances in my life, I had to start and stop. After many years, and attending various institutions, I re-enrolled at IU Northwest in 2012 with a mindset to earn my degree. What was different this time was that I embraced all that the university offered in both activities and services and made myself accountable and successful. I am graduating this May with a bachelor’s in communications.

While attending IU Northwest I had the opportunity to be the play-by-play announcer for the men’s and women’s basketball teams, as well as the women’s volleyball team, broadcast on the campus’s radio station: WIUN. I also worked the public address microphones for a few games. This opportunity, combined with my overall interest in sports, has led me to explore sports communications. I plan to continue to pursue this dream, only with loftier goals.
