Major: Psychology & Economics
Not Counted Because: Transferred

I am an international student from China studying psychology and economics in IU’s College of Arts and Sciences. After high school, I spent a year at Rice University before deciding to transfer to Indiana University in Bloomington.

Although achieving academically at Rice, I wanted a different experience. I decided to transfer to IU where I became involved in numerous student organizations and programs including IU’s Liberal Arts and Management Program; IU’s College Luminaries Program; 180 Degrees Consulting, a student-run consultancy that gives back to the local community through pro bono consulting; and IU’s Arts and Humanities Council.

I have helped to bridge the gap between domestic and international students by serving as an International Student Ambassador. I have traveled back to my high school in China as part of IU’s Hometown Hoosiers program where I connected with students and shared my experiences as an IU Hoosier.
