After starting at another institution, I turned my attention to raising my three children. In 2009, a car accident left me with a spinal cord injury that paralyzed me from the breast bone down and limited the use of my hands to 50 percent. I spent several months in a rehabilitation center, learning how to live and function as a person in a wheel chair. In 2011, I enrolled at Northwest to renew my goal of earning a college degree.
After graduation I will seek employment in the business sector and look for volunteer opportunities. I want to work in a human resource and employment services role and help others find jobs that fit theirs and employers’ needs.
