Major: Communication Studies
Graduation Date: May 30, 2016
Not Counted Because: Transferred; Started Part-Time

I attended the University of New Orleans, enrolled in the communications program, for two semesters after graduating from high school. I then decided by late 1990 to enlist in the military, and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1991. After completing my enlistment my family and I relocated to Maryland and I continued my education at a local community college. With the help of my family I was able to complete my associate’s degree and ultimately earn my bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland University College.

Since completing my undergraduate degree in communication studies in May, I have enrolled in the graduate school and will be enrolling in credit courses for the fall 2016 semester. Once I have completed my master’s degree in marketing, I plan to pursue a second master’s degree in project management. With respect to my immediate career goals, I will be using my educational credentials and related acquired skills to segue from my present career as an intellectual property legal assistant to corporate communication.
