Major: Social Work
Graduation Date: May 12, 2018
Not Counted Because: Transferred

I transferred because after starting at a nursing school I did not want to pursue nursing any longer.  After transferring to community college to figure out what degree to pursue further I then transferred to a four-year university after finding social work—my calling. After graduation, I plan to get a job in the social work field.  One child welfare, foster care position has been offered to me and I have a couple more interviews lined up to produce the best opportunities after graduation possible.

Having a college degree means a lot to me. Not only does it stand for what I’ve learned and that I’m qualified for a job because of the classes and experience I’ve encountered, it stands for perseverance and dedication. As a first-generation college student, it stands as an honor in my family as well.
