Major: Accounting
Graduation Date: May 19, 2016
Not Counted Because: Transferred; Started Part-Time

I am an adult returning student at SUNY Adirondack. I attended SUNY Potsdam for one year beginning September 1972. In the interim, I married, had a family and have enjoyed a 40-year career in banking. After my children left home I realized that I now had the time to pursue my dream of getting a college education. Because of my full-time work schedule, I was not able to take more than 6-8 credits per semester. After 4 1/2 years of hard work I will graduate with a 4.00 GPA. My accomplishment deserves to be counted.

I went back to school to obtain the skills and credentials that would allow me to continue to work after I retire from my current job. I will look for a job in a field I have always been very interested in exploring—accounting. I would also love to continue my education and perhaps pursue a bachelor’s degree once I have found my dream job.
