Graduation Date: June 15, 2018
Not Counted Because: Transferred

I hated school back the first few times I chose to attend. Turns out, the bigger problem I had was I had no real ambition to do anything. By the time, I became serious, I was a father and husband. After graduation, I plan on taking a year to get my graduate school applications in order. This will include continued auditing of courses and interactions with faculty.

The degree holds a larger symbolic meaning for me than any traditionally understood practical notions around a college degree. Its symbolism is indicative of sacrifice, hard work, and my capacity to fulfill a goal—things I never considered important until I had my own family.
