GCC has an open-door policy, which is designed to be accessible and affordable to all residents in the state. GCC’s mission is to offer high-quality instruction and comprehensive services in an environment conducive to learning. The GCC community responds to the changing academic, occupational, technological, and cultural needs of a diverse population. Over 100 for-credit programs are available. Many graduates pursue careers in a variety of high-demand occupational areas, such as health care, business, computer, automotive, and engineering technology. Other graduates elect to continue their education seamlessly in one of the Connecticut College and State University System’s four-year institutions. In order to serve the needs of the state residents and local community, GCC also offers a wide range of non-credit programs in personal development as well as in the business and industry.
