The Student Achievement Measure is supported by six sponsoring associations, working together to provide a more comprehensive and accurate picture of student progress and completion as students move across institutions and state boundaries.

Worcester State University

Worcester State University is a comprehensive, undergraduate and masters public institution within the Massachusetts State University system. WSU students have numerous multidisciplinary opportunities enabling them to explore their academic interests and prepare for their careers. We educate students for real-world challenges by focusing on critical thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, technology, and global awareness. Worcester State University offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and minors, over 30 masters degrees and post-baccalaureate/advanced graduate study certificates. Over 200 full-time faculty members serve the student body and also engage in exciting research and scholarship as well as impactful community service. As an urban institution in New England’s second largest city, we provide a great many community engagement opportunities for students at all levels. Worcester State University is committed to improving student success and is therefore interested in SAM as an additional tool for measurement of student’s academic achievement and success rate.
