Metropolitan State University, a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, is a comprehensive urban university committed to meeting the higher education needs of those who live and work in the 13 counties surrounding the Twin Cities. Founded in 1971, Metropolitan State offers over 60 majors, 40 minors, 10 graduate programs and two applied doctorates. With a strong tradition of individualized educational programs, the university is fully committed to high-quality, affordable education for working adults.
