The Student Achievement Measure is supported by six sponsoring associations, working together to provide a more comprehensive and accurate picture of student progress and completion as students move across institutions and state boundaries.

University of Missouri-St Louis

Using the Student Achievement Measure (SAM), the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) can provide a more complete and accurate picture of the path to earning a bachelor's degree. SAM captures not only the traditional definition of success, i.e., students who start at UMSL and persist and graduate from UMSL, but it also includes enrollment and degree attainment information for students who started here but later transferred to another institution. This measure redefines student success from one that is primarily institutional centered to one that is more focused on the success of the student.
