UNLV is a comprehensive research university of over 30,000 students and more than 3,600 faculty and staff. The university has internationally recognized programs in hotel administration and creative writing; professional degrees in medicine, law, architecture, and dental medicine; and leading programs in fine arts, sciences and education. UNLV is located on a 332-acre main campus and two satellite campuses in dynamic Southern Nevada. The university is classified in the category of Research Universities (high research activity) by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and is a federally designated Hispanic Serving Institution.
