Granite State College

Granite State College is one of the four institutions of the University System of New Hampshire, New Hampshire's public university system. Our primary mission is to serve as the system's statewide college for adults, in addition to being New Hampshire's leader in delivering online education. We are proud to offer associate, bachelor's and master's degrees, post-baccalaureate programs for teacher education, transfer opportunities, and online degree programs. By offering degree programs in high-demand fields combined with flexible scheduling, Granite State College makes it possible to balance the responsibilities of work and/or family while earning a college degree. We believe that the most valuable asset for individuals, businesses, and communities is knowledge, and we specialize in helping our students develop the knowledge they need to empower themselves and the world at large. As an accredited institution with over 45 years of experience, Granite State College is dedicated to providing affordable, convenient, and innovative education to undergraduates, graduate students, and continuing education professionals. Granite State College serves a non-traditional audience, with few first-time full-time students; as such, we appreciate the opportunity to report on other more representative cohorts (part-time, transfer) through SAM. We also endorse the SAM approach to examining long-term higher education retention/completion, even if the high-water mark in a student's education occurs at an institution other than the one at which they began their degree program.
