Millersville prides itself on its unique mix of historical and modern facilities, surrounded by an organically maintained, landscaped environment, providing a setting which is both picturesque and one of the safest colleges in the country. It is located minutes from downtown Lancaster, PA, and major metropolitan areas such as Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and New York City are just a train ride away. The University is committed to sustainability and is taking measures to become carbon neutral within two decades. Millersville has approximately 6,750 students, including over 5,740 undergraduates. In addition to baccalaureate and master’s degrees, Millersville offers three doctoral programs. Many of these are unique programs of distinction, and some mix several disciplines together—combining science, technology and art to provide more progressive, multidisciplinary offerings. All of Millersville’s superior academic programs fully prepare students for real-world careers. Emphasizing holistic development, the academic programs are complemented by more than 180 clubs, student organizations and co-curricular opportunities, such as 19 intercollegiate (NCAA Division II) sports teams and a wide range of intramural athletic offerings.
