Robert Morris University

Robert Morris University, founded in 1921, is one of the leading universities in the Pittsburgh region and among the largest private institutions of higher learning in Pennsylvania. More than 5,000 full- and part-time undergraduate and graduate students from 38 states and 37 countries are enrolled at RMU. The 230-acre campus in Moon Township is located 15 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport and 17 miles from downtown. The 32-acre Island Sports Center on Neville Island provides state-of-the-art athletic facilities for the University and the community. RMU built its reputation by offering strong academic programs in traditional business fields such as accounting, finance, marketing and management. To prepare students for success in a changing and competitive workforce, the University has created programs in communications, information systems, engineering, mathematics, science, education, social sciences, nursing and health sciences. The University now offers 30 bachelor's degree programs and 19 master's and doctoral degree programs. RMU is a teaching-centered institution. The student-faculty ratio is 16:1, and the average class size is 24. More than 60 clubs and organizations help students develop leadership skills, network professionally and meet new friends. Student activities include varsity, club and intramural sports, sororities, fraternities and student government. The 17 varsity athletic programs are affiliated with NCAA Division I.
