Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania
Founded in 1889, Slippery Rock University is home to more than 8,500 students. SRU offers a comprehensive learning experience that purposefully combines academic instruction with hands-on learning opportunities – a winning combination for success. We offer more than 60 undergraduate majors and 20 graduate programs including doctorates in Physical Therapy and Special Education. Our Honor’s Program offers academically gifted students an opportunity to study with select faculty in small, highly interactive academic settings both here and abroad. The campus is located in the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania just 50 miles north of Pittsburgh. The University has an accomplished faculty: 93 percent of our full-time tenure and tenure-track instructional faculty members have an earned doctorate or terminal degree. And, because our most common class size is only 20-29 students, faculty members have time to mentor students and provide the personal attention that has become a hallmark of a Slippery Rock University education.Fall 2017 First-time Full-time Cohort
