Coastal Carolina University

Coastal Carolina University is a dynamic public comprehensive liberal arts institution with more than 10,000 students from 47 states, the District of Columbia, and 63 other countries who interact with a world-class faculty, and enjoy a nationally competitive NCAA I athletic program, an inspiring cultural calendar and a choice of over 200 clubs and organizations. Coastal Carolina University is located in Conway, S.C., just minutes from the resort area of Myrtle Beach. While the University has a strong liberal arts foundation, it has developed esteemed programs that utilize local resources, such as its marine science programs and its PGA-accredited professional golf management program. Coastal Carolina offers baccalaureate degrees in 74 major fields of study, twenty-five master’s degree programs, two educational specialist programs and two doctoral programs, in Marine Science: Coastal and Marine Systems Science and the Ph.D. in Education. U.S. News and World Report recognizes CCU as one of the top regional universities in the South and ranks Coastal second among southern regional universities as a “Best Value School” for 2018. CCU is currently focused on offering a high level of experiential learning opportunities for students in all disciplines.
